Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2

IE7 Beta 2 です。iexplore.exe のファイルバージョンは 7.0.5346.5 ですかね。

とりあえず、手元では古い IE7 が入っているわけですが、これをインストールしようとすると

Internet Explorer 7 is already installed on this computer. Please use 'Add or Remove Programs' in the Control Panel to uninstall it.

というエラーメッセージが出てインストールが出来ません。コントロールパネルの「プログラムの追加と削除」には、IE はリストアップされていないしなぁ…。
%windir%id7beta2_main.log に、インストールのログが記録されてるわけですが、そこには

00:01.047: INFO:    Checking if iexplore.exe's current version is between 7.0.0.0...
00:01.078: INFO:    ...and 7.0.9999.9999...
00:01.109: ERROR:   Failed to check Internet Explorer version.
00:01.140: ERROR:   Message to User: The current version of Internet Explorer is already installed.

というメッセージが…。
手元にインストールされているのは、7.0.5296.0 なのですけれど、7.0.0.0 − 7.0.9999.9999 は全てはねられるわけですかそうですか…。

orz... Release Notes for Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 をよく読んだら、古いバージョンの IE7 の消し方が書いてあるぢゃん。ぎゃふん。
